Our history
Text description about how the company was built
Since 1988, Mobitech has been a key player in providing effective solutions for the transportation sector. Initially both at land and sea, but throughout the years we have navigated towards for the maritime sector.
The Covid-19 pandemic hit the world, and the ferry companies all of a sudden had to switch to digital ticketing and boarding technology. That scaled up the use of our Seamless solution in Norway, which became the industry standard more or less over-night. And no one have ever considered to revert back to old manual methods and outdated tech.
Norwegian private investment company DSD becomes the new owners of Mobitech, with a long-term investment horizon. DSD has a deeply rooted maritime history dating back to 1855 and the steam-ship "Ryfylke", and ais perfect match to accelerate and strengthen the journey of Mobitech.
Time to show the world what we have and look outside of Norway, and Savard Marine Services in Canada signs up as our first international partner. Mobitech is steadily getting attention from the global ferry industry.
Mobitech launches versions 1.0 of Osinos.com, an industry-first online sales channel for ferries powered with multi-operator, multi-tenant and multi-route capabilities. Likely the fastest and easiest way to purchase a ferry ticket, and with the PSP of choice of the operators.
We are steadily growing our business, both in geographical context and product-wise.
